According to the influence on Eiffel Effect for diagonal members of curved type tower, by taking the form of a drum tower 500 kV dual-circuits as an example, the linear auto-regressive filter (AR) law principle is adopted, the kaimal spectrum that changes with height is conducted, the wind field is simulated through MATLAB software. Using the ANSYS finite element analysis software, the finite element model of transmission tower is built, the internal force of diagonal members is calculated under stochastic wind load, and is compared with code calculation. It is shown that the practical calculation and the code calculation are different. Predictably, Eiffel Effect on transmission tower brings diagonal members with influence. Therefore, Eiffel Effect should be considered in the tower design, in order to improve bearing capacity of diagonal members and ensure design strength of transmission tower.
