A recursive iterative surface equivalence approach is proposed to solve problems of electromagnetic scattering from conducting bodies of arbitrary shape. The proposed approach has many advantages over currently existing techniques based on integral equations (for e.g. the moment method) or finite-difference approximations (for e.g. the finite-difference frequency domain). The approach is validated by considering one- and two-dimensional problems.
