摘要

Hydrology parameters for both pre-de velopment and post-development of the site in U.S. were calculated and compared. Results show that the peak flow and runoff would be tremendously increased by impervious pavements without low impact development design (LIDs). Two principal LID design parts, permeable pavements and bioretention cell, therefore will be built to improve stormwater management and treatment. Hydrology models data built by Hydro CAD show that permeable pavements can decrease peak flow from 105350 cm3/s to 84110.4 cm3/s, and reduce runoff from 325.64 m3 to 271.37 m3. But this still represents an increase when compared to the original runoff. The bioretention system would also decrease peak flow from 84110.4 cm3/s to 3681.6 cm3/s, and runoff from 271.37 m3 to 32.07 m3. Furthermore, LIDs also serve as stormwater treatment units through reducing runoff volume or direct biochemical and physical processes. The design would become a successful case for other area's sustainable development construction.
