摘要

The major disadvantage of the implicit time domain finite element method (TDFEM) is that a large sparse matrix equation has to be solved repeatedly at each time step. To speed up solving of the matrix equations, a multilevel inverse-based incomplete LU (MIB-ILU) preconditioning is employed in this paper for 3D scattering problems. Numerical experiments show that the MIB-ILU approach exhibits high efficiency and significantly improves the computing capability of the TDFEM.
