A shape-stabilized phase-change material (SSPCM) was installed on the floor, walls, and ceiling of buildings, and its effects on indoor room temperature stabilization and heating load reduction were examined using experiments and simulations. In order to maximize the performance of PCM through reduction of heating load, it is important to find the most effective indoor application method according to PCM capacity. For that purpose, the simulation calculated the annual load of 429 cases in total in each region of the ASHRAE climate classification with various PCM capacity, building shape and laying conditions, and analyzed the heating load reduction amount.
