The wireless sensor network has promising future in the environment monitoring, such as river flood watching, ice storm watching, mine flood watch, forest fire watching. The wireless sensor network can observe the parameter such as the temperature, humidity for both underground and aboveground mine. During our experiment of the wireless sensor network in the river of Ontario, we gained a series experience of the implementation, such as sensor nodes' energy control, dormancy/ awaken, node positioning and network overlaying. We have transmitted the live data to the center of monitor laboratory successfully. The purpose of this application is to monitor the weather, and control the water damage; as such, the network reliability and link robustness is the utmost concern. We have proposed to use a mobile jammer probe to test the network breaking down point and safety margin. In order to find out the proper jamming power and proper test spot and distance, we used simulation tool to provide a baseline reference for the field trial.
