摘要

The basic purpose of this paper is to compare the strength performance of different orthodontic micro-screws using FEM. In this work, we will study the influence of geometrical parameters in cortical bone with real three-dimensional geometries of some commercial and existing orthodontic micro-screws. Considering the variation of the angle of incidence of the traction force applied as a random parameter, the others geometrical parameters studied are the thickness of the cortical bone and the drilling distance of the micro-screw into the bone. The obtained data helps optimal clinical decision before surgery.
