As Indonesian resources of hydrocarbon decrease and world oil price becomes unstable, a wise, economic and effective exploration method is required. Remote sensing is a widely used tool in geological mapping, mineral alteration identification and other exploration objectives. Compared to geophysical and geochemical methods, remote sensing can cover larger exploration area more economically but is sparingly in used for hydrocarbon exploration in Indonesia. To make the data more valuable, there must be any relationship between those methods so this paper acts as analog and as a guide to another hydrocarbon exploration.The location of investigation is located in Bintuni Basin, Bird's Head, Papua. The remote sensing data used is Landsat TM path 106, row 61 of Bintuni Basin. The geophysical data used is gravity or Bouguer anomaly. To relate the two sets of data several image enhancements have been done, including Principal Component Analysis, False Color Composite, Band Ratio and special image enhancement, such as 1345 PC3, 2357 PC3, etc. Several basic methods of classification have been done to see the related anomaly. The best related anomaly was then picked to be the key of supervised classification.Several classified regions exhibit relationship between Landsat TM imagery and Bouguer anomaly in Bintuni Basin. The relationship of these data are connected with the physical geology of the area. Every image enhancement has its own characteristic and is open to several interpretations.
