Measuring and monitoring logistics performance is a key step towards showing and improving the competitive advantage of manufacturing enterprises. In this paper, the logistics performance measures of industrial sectors are discussed aiming at reflecting the value created by logistics and to develop situations of logistics. After selecting two inputs and four outputs for evaluation, this paper uses the cross-efficiency in Data envelopment analysis (DEA) to evaluate the logistics performance which overcomes the shortcoming of traditional DEA and can rank the effective decision making units. Then, an empirical analysis is carried out to validate the evaluation process based on surveys of logistics in seven industrial sectors in China. The rankings by sector indicate the logistics efficiencies of industrial sectors and convey information about the logistics environment to a manufacturing enterprise, which can be used as guidelines for managerial actions and policymaking.
