Institute for Power Resources Transportation (IPTER, the former VNIISPTneft) is staffed with skilled specialists, who have been in the corrosion protection business in and outside of Russia for more than two decades. We provide the following services: 1.Design and Deliver Corrosion Monitoring Systems 2.Adapt the Network Software "Extra" to Pipeline Operator Requirements 3.Review Utilities Corrosion Status in Oil Fields 4.Identify Major Factors and Causes of Corrosive Wear 5.Economically Analyze Various Options of Corrosion Protection 6.Prepare Recommendations and Work to Control Pipeline/Equipment Internal Corrosion 7.Provide Guidelines and Software Support for your Operations 8.Select Corrosion Inhibitors and Develop Technologies for Applying These to Protect Downhole Equipment and Pipelines (Laboratory Tests, Bench Tests and Field Tests) Our Institute holds a License issued by RF GGTN (The Russian Federation State Mining and Technical Supervision Department) to conduct expert examinations of technical equipment used at hazardous production facilities); The Institute's NDT Laboratory has been certified by the State National Research Center "Prombezopasnost" (Rus: Industrial Safety) in compliance with NDT System requirements. IPTER laboratory affiliated to our department was accredited by RF GosStandard. The accreditation covers such areas as evaluating the protective capacity of corrosion inhibitors and bactericides, and determining the industrial media chemical and bacterial composition.
