How to Apply Error Proofing to Realize Full Process Quality Control of Products in Chinese Enterprises Successfully

China is known as a large manufacturing country but we are far from a manufacturing power because of poor quality of Chinese products. Although more and more Chinese enterprises know what is error proofing, ȁC;Made in ChinaȁD; is still the byword of cheaper and poor quality. The paper puts forward a systematic error proofing concept, compares traditional quality management with error proofing, analyzes the relation between defects and errors, sets forth steps and approaches of error proofing. Furthermore, the paper proposes five essential elements for Chinese enterprises to apply error proofing to realize full process quality control of products to improve product quality including autonomous and systematic error proofing, standardization consciousness, cost effective principle and the timing of error proofing to make China a manufacturing power in the world soon.
