Economic Dispatch Model Considering Randomness and Environmental Benefits of Wind Power

Faced with growing energy and environmental pressures, wind power as a kind of the renewable energy has a rapid development in China's power industry. Due to the characteristic dynamic random of wind power, the traditional economic dispatch model is not suitable. Based on environmental benefits of units and the random of wind power and its effect on the security of power system, the environmental penalty cost and reserve capacity penalty cost are proposed. Then the stochastic programming theory is applied to build the dynamic economic dispatch model. It is solved by the hybrid intelligent algorithm combined with Monte-Carlo simulation(MCS) and Genetic Algorithm(GA). The random variable simulation results by MCS are input parameters to GA. Take IEEE30 system as an example, a comparative analysis of the traditional economic dispatch mode and the built one is given. The results verify that the model is reasonable and effective.
