A mathematical model of the resonant inverter of voltage with synchronous method of controlling STPM-2 is developed. The model makes it possible to define the area of safe operation for IGBT and MOSFET modules in such circuit design. Comparative analysis of the efficiency of modules IGBT SKM200GB125D and MOSFET CAS120M12BM2 both with similar current and voltage parameters is carried out for circuit of the resonant inverter of voltage with synchronous method of controlling STPM-2 and for circuit of the converter with combined structure.
