The implementation of the resistive-thyristor neutral grounding mode for power transformers with control of grounding mode is considered. An algorithm for controlling a high-voltage thyristor switch is proposed. The algorithm allows changing the neutral grounding mode depending on the intensity of geomagnetic activity and the state of the magnetic system of the power transformer. The resistance increase of the resistive-thyristor grounding mode with the increasing of geomagnetic activity, limits the depth and duration of the unilateral saturation of the magnetic system of the power transformer.
