The paper investigates possibility of noise immunity improvement for distributed test systems located under the influence of random impulse noise. To increase test sequence transmission reliability, it is suggested to use cascade coding with an error-correcting primary code and protective secondary code based on code signal feature. Conducted research shows that semi-byte code word structure provides good balance between correcting ability and informational capacity of the primary code. As an example, the work analyses possible combinations of spotted transformation errors, corrected transformation errors and corrected erasure errors for primary code with minimal code distance value equal to 4.
