摘要

The first part of this paper present some modification on derived formulations given in a recent publication for switching function algorithms of three-phase matrix converter based drives against open failures. Also a remedial matrix converter structure and switching algorithms for continuous, fault-tolerant operation of matrix converter based AC motor drives with delta connection windings in case of open faults is developed. So the simulation results for the recently proposed fault-tolerant matrix converter in star connection motor are compared with corrected algorithms presented in this paper. Finally the same algorithm is applied to simulate fault-tolerant matrix converter topologies for AC motor drives with delta connection motor winding in order to show the feasibility of the proposed fault-tolerant matrix converter topology.
