The supplementary water volume was researched when the reclaimed water was taken as the supplement of the landscape lake on the premise of the water quality standard. According to the analysis of the problems of using reclaimed water as the supplement of the landscape water, a improved model to caculate the water environmental capacity was established. Then the model was proved by the experiment. A certain amount of reclaimed water was injected in the cattail tank to simulate a real lake which was supplemented with reclaimed water. The dissolved oxygen, ammonia nitrogen, temperature and pH were monitored every 2 hours during the day. The multiple linear regression method was used to calculate the equation of the attenuation coefficient K. With the combination of the equation of the K and the critical condition of K=0, the formula of the water environmental capacity was educed. The experimental results indicate that the new method of calculating the supplementary water volume is more reasonable, and could be the scientific basis for the urban landscape lake supplement decision-making.
