Magnetic core loss is an emerging concern forintegrated POL converters. As switching frequency increases,core loss is comparable to or even higher than winding loss.Accurate evaluation is important to predict magnetic materialperformance and converter efficiency. Conventional method islimited to low frequency (usually below 100kHz) due tosensitivity to phase error. In this paper, two new methods areproposed for high frequency measurement, for sinusoidal ornon-sinusoidal excitation. The new method reduces the phaseinduced error from over 100% to <5%. So with the proposedmethods, the core loss can be accurately measured.
