'Black and White Construction Contracts' is a newly coined phrase in the Chinese construction industry that describes a project company signing two versions of a contract with the contractor. The paper explores the essence and the cause of 'Black and white construction contracts'. Meanwhile, it research on the legal debate based on the new interpretation promulgated by the Supreme People's Court on 25 October 2004.
