Co-gasification of biomass and coal is an effective way to utilize biomass energy. A wet co-gasification route-preparing slurry with semi-char and coal, was proposed in this article. The co-slurry characteristics of Shenfu coal and semi-char produced from rice stalk fast pyrolysis in a fluidized bed reactor were investigated. Meanwhile, chemical process simulation software ASPEN PLUS was used to simulate the gasification of the prepared slurry. Results indicated that the co-slurry of semi-char and coal was feasible. Compared with coal-water slurry (CWS), the concentration of semi-char-coal-water slurry (SCWS) was lower, but its stability was better and there was no difference in flow characteristic. The addition of semi-char reduced the quality of syngas, but improved the energy conversation rate.
