In the traditional controller design, local signal is only chosen to be the feedback variable, and improvement of single performance in the system is considered. This way to design controller could make uncertain affect to other performance in the system. A comprehensive performance index is used in the coordinated control theory, and the controller which is more coordinated is designed. By using the coordinated control theory, comprehensive performance index is designed and improved. When designing the DC coordinated controller in the Sichuan AC/DC hybrid transmission system, the comprehensive performance of the whole system is considered, feedback variables are chosen based on the comprehensive performance index. Weight matrix is optimized, the optimum control law is found and the optimal DC controller is designed. At last, the eigenvalue and damping ratio are got by using Prony method. Through Prony analysis and emulation analysis, it is proved that the controller can coordinated with the other controllers in the original system, and increased the damping ratio of the Sichuan power transmission system, so the low frequency oscillation can be inhibited effectively, and the comprehensive dynamic performance of this system can be improved.
