Daytime land surface temperature changes in Tokyo prefecture August 2003-2019

Between 2003 and 2019, Tokyo prefecture’s daytime LST inAugust have increased, especially in the center of Tokyo. Globalwarming or currently available land cover type datasets weresolely unable to explain the increases and further research isrequired to quantify the impact of urbanization on LST changes.
