The aim of the present study is to investigate the collapse strength characteristics of I-girder at elevated temperature associated with fires. Two numerical analysis, namely ANSYS/LS-DYNA and USFOS are employed. Also, a method for theoretical analysis is presented. A comparison between the three methods is made in terms of the collapse strength of the I-girder. It is concluded that the methods are useful for the collapse strength analysis of I-girder at elevated temperatures.
