Discussion on Urbanization Patterns of Shanxi Energy and Heavy Chemical Industry Base based on Major Function Area

Shanxi province is the most important energy and heavy chemical industry base, and the urbanization road has bountiful geographic type features on the basis of multiformity. By using the statistical analysis method the paper studies the present situation of urbanization of Shanxi province firstly. Then taking major function area as the spatial carrier of urbanization patterns, the paper proposes the logic chain of the urbanization leading pattern selection of Shanxi energy and heavy chemical industry base, and the different selection guidance of urbanization patterns in different function area. The pioneer studies will offer the theoretical foundation for making the counter-measure and proposing further for urbanization strategy of Shanxi energy and heavy chemical industry to achieve the maximization of the overall interests of the region and healthy development of regional urbanization.
