This paper deals with kinetics studies of the carbon deposit containing carbon nanotubes on the triply promoted (K_2O, CaO, Al_2O_3) nanocrystalline iron. The synthesis were carried out under the flow of pure ethylene or ethylene - nitrogen mixture, under atmospheric pressure, at a constant temperature in the range of 440 - 520°C. The weight growth of the samples was controlled using thermobalance. The phase composition of obtained products was determined using X-ray diffraction method. The effect of ethylene partial pressure was investigated. Under the experiment conditions (P_(ethylene)>0.25bar), the rate of carbon deposit creation was independent of the ethylene partial pressure. The maximal carbon yield, which is possible to achieve at a given temperature, was also calculated.
