摘要

The adsorption of the herbicide bentazone on an activated carbon cloth is studied as a function of pH. It was found that the adsorption is enhanced in acidic medium, consequently showing that bentazone is mainly adsorbed through dispersive interactions. Bentazone, was reversibly desorbed by cathodic polarisation of the cloth, leading to its fast regeneration. The involved mechanisms have been examined carefully in light of surface functionality and nanoporous texture of carbon.
