The department No. 202 of Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) is researching the use of ceramic-composite materials for the LRE combustors of small thrust, which already have developed in MAI with thrust 200~500 N. The application of ceramic-composite materials for combustion chambers shows new possibilities to increase specific impulse of engines with relatively low-costs. Using ceramic-composite materials with anti oxidizer coating allows changing the component for film cooling from fuel to oxidizer, and furthermore decreasing of the mass of engine. Increasing of working temperature of the wall by changing of O/F ratio at the last row injectors and decreasing relative mass flow rate of film cooling make engines more efficient. The benefits of using such materials are demonstrated in the calculation examples of 200N and 500N-thrust LRE by mathematical model of heat state of LRE and preliminary fire tests.
