So far many successful experiences have been made in the project management models and the integrated management tools and so on of the large-scale projects in China, however, due to the scale of large projects too large and complex, which many deepseated problems have also exposed in the implementation process. While China's central government has formulated the 10 measures and made arrangements for 4 trillion Yuan investments to boost domestic demand for the next two years. This paper analyzes the problems of the management model for the government and owners, management level, centralization and decentralization, public bidding and the management after bidding, the overall coordination of supervision, interface management, construction general contracting management and labor management etc., and put forward a decentralized self-organizing management model and some enlightening recommendations with the author's practical construction experiences of large projects in the Guangzhou University Town, the University Park in Zhuhai and so on.
