Research on the comprehensive development and utilization of waters underground space in the central cities of Yangtze River Delta

The central cities in Yangtze River Delta (YRD) are well developed and have vast water areas.To promote the balance and coordinate development of areas surrounding the waters, research on building convenient traffic network using Waters Underground Space ONUS) has already become the objective demand of the central cities in YRD. In the current economic situation, it is a topic worthy of study to develop and utilize the WUS synthetically, and extend modes by the capital market operation and investment environment in YRD, which could alleviate the conflicts of the land resource reducing increasingly, also create new financing channels for environmental renovation of lakes and rivers, explore new areas for real estate and promote the sustainable development of the society, economic and environment. It firstly analyzes the current status and existing problems of the development and utilization of WUS in YRD, then based on the characteristics of WUS and the theories, puts forward the possible functions and compound modes of WUS, and finally briefly analyzes the main problems of the comprehensive development and utilization of WUS.
