Much has been learned over the past eight years since the Cluster Rule Leak Detection and Repair requirements for vent gas systems came into effect in April of 2001. We now have a understanding of what portions of the non-condensable gas, bleach plant, stripper off-gas, and condensate-collection systems should by inspected and tested and the timing of these testing events. Programs have been developed to make inspections and testing more efficient and accurate. There are programs that use in-house services, as well as, contractor services for performing monthly inspections and annual certifications. We look at the best ways manage your in-house and/or contractor service providers. In addition to what we have learned, there are progressive products being implemented to improve the accuracy and efficiency of LDAR programs. We will explore the LDAR management techniques from setting up a LDAR program to managing inspections, testing, and repairs that have proven to be successful. We will also discuss the techniques that can significantly improve current LDAR programs.
