3D Laser Scanning as Applied to Subway Tunnel Inspections Techniques for Gathering, Documenting and Managing Inspection Data

We believe 3D laser scanning can successfully be used as one tool in a system of tunnel inspection and maintenance. It is important that the limitations of the technology be understood and that workflows are developed to capitalize on the strengths of each component of the system and work out techniques that allow one component to compensate for another's deficiencies.
