The detecting capability of IR cameras for Deep Space Exploration is supposed to be high, the detected objects are of low radiation, and the detection range is very long. Considering all these characteristics, the essentials of design for Deep Space Exploration IR cameras were introduced. Meanwhile, the detecting capability and key technologies of Deep Space Exploration IR cameras were compared in detail, and the status and future development of IR cameras for Deep Space Exploration were analyzed.
