Development and application of space-borne laser remote sensing

摘要

In this paper, the basic technical principles and characteristic are briefly introduced, and some detailed descriptions about several Chinese and foreign space-borne LIDARs' applications on some fields like atmospheric detection, star mapping, ice cap monitoring and global high resolution mapping are given. Then, the importance of laser technology in space-borne LIDAR is summarized. Finally, we analyzed the basis on remote sensing in the current stage in China and showed our prospects for future development.
