A new resource allocation scheme for cooperative transmission over multiuser OFDM networks is proposed in this paper. It is assumed that each user has the ability to relay information for others to improve the overall system performance, operating in decode-and-forward (DF) mode. Sub-carriers and power are allocated to users to maximize the uplink system throughput under the constraints of half-duplex, distributed power, and queue state of traffic. A two-slot resource allocation structure is constructed to deal with the half-duplex constraint. A suboptimal low-complexity algorithm is developed to solve the allocation problem efficiently. This algorithm first greedily allocates subcarriers and power to users and then determines the relay selection. Numerical examples demonstrate the good throughput performance of our proposed scheme and the effectiveness of the low-complexity algorithm.
