A new antenna arrange scheme and moving target detection method is presented after analyzing the shortcoming of conventional three-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ground moving target indication (GMTI) methods. The shortcoming of conventional three-channel SAR/GMTI methods is that you cannot improve the performance of minimum detectable velocity, ambiguous speed and blind-velocities simultaneously to meet the requirements of the system. The improved method proposed in this paper solves the problem by rearranging the transmitting and receiving antennae without increasing the number of receiving channels. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show the validity of this scheme.
