Base on the complex variable method, this work presents a straightforward and concise approach to analyze the two-dimensional electro-elastic fields of a circular shaft containing multiple piezoelectric fibers which are loaded by electric field along the fiber direction. To obtain the solutions for the complex potentials, the complex potentials are expanded into Taylor series and then their coefficients are determined from the stress and displacement boundary conditions in the multi-connect region. Finally, numerical examples are presented to examine the effects of the fiber distribution, fiber size and applied electric fields on the interface stress between the matrix and the piezoelectric fibers. It is shown that the applied electric fields and fiber distribution play a significant role in the stress fields of the matrix and piezoelectric fibers.
