Focused on the slag, steel fluid and ingot as the research object, the 3-D finite element model of ESR system applied with electromagnetic stirring has been built. The paper has studied and analyzed the distribution of magnetic field, electromagnetic force, current density and flow field of steel fluid as well as the influence of different process parameters. The result shows: applied with stirring, the electromagnetic force generates and it increases with the frequency; In condition of applied stirring parameters with current 100A and frequency 5hz, the maximum of magnetic induction is 0.026T, and the maximum of current density is 33537A/m2; the electromagnetic force of slag is about 0.45e-10N which can be neglected compared to that of the steel fluid region; flow field distribution appears as rotating shape whose maximum speed is up to 0.20m/s near the wall surface and minimum is 0m/s in the center.
