Dynamic Simulation of Mountain-valley Circulation over Complex Terrain

摘要

The atmospheric environment simulation is one of the important parts of synthetic natural environment (SNE) simulation,and plays an important role in the design optimization of weapon system,the simulation of military operations,the assessment of the disaster prevention and reduction decision-making,and so on.The reliability of atmospheric environment simulation depends on how effective to represent of the atmospheric environment.This paper presents a numerical model,which can simulate multi-resolution dynamic atmospheric environments (DAE) and was applied to model mountain-valley circulations over complex terrain in order to show its capabilities.Comparison simulated wind speeds and temperatures with in-situ observations shows that the Atmospheric Environment Simulation Model satisfied physical and dynamic consistency and followed atmospheric behaviors,it captured time-spatial variations in local circulations reasonably well and reproduced most of major small-scale disturbance characteristics of flows over complex terrain.
