The experiment utilized sweet sorghum cultivar of Tiannong Qingsi No. 1 as material to study the effect of different nitrogen levels on accumulation of quality characters in stalk. Results showed that under four nitrogen levels the content of crude protein and ether extract continuously increased, the content of crude fiber decreased firstly and increased subsequently and the content of crude ash and nitrogen-free extract continuously decreased. The accumulations of each quality character were not the same. The exhibition of all the characters was best when the amount of pure nitrogen at 28.0kg/hm2.
