In this paper,the spectrum of electromagnetic(EM)radiation from the corona discharge in air has been investigated by using a needle-ring configuration.The effects of the gas pressure and the airflow on the radiation spectrum were tested.The results show that there is no regularity in the radiation spectrum of positive corona,but there is an obvious characterized EM radiation emitted from negative corona which depends on the discharge conditions.The EM radiations from the negmive corona discharge in high pressure or airflow do not change its characterized spectrum,but have different amplitude.The EM radiations of the negative corona discharge in air are supposed to be related to the Trichel pulse.
