NUMERICAL STUDY ON MORPHING INFLATABLE WING ACTUATED BY PNEUMATIC CELLS

摘要

An inflated morphing wing actuated by pneumatic cells (muscles) is modeled using finite element method and its deformations with different actuation pressures are calculated.The aerodynamics performance of the morphed wing is simulated using computational fluid dynamics software.The results show that deflection of morphing wing increases the angle of attack,and it is found that the lift coefficient of the morphing wing is larger than that of the original wing in the same angle of attack as produced by wing morphing.
