The Financing Risks Assessment of CDM Projects:A Case Study for Maguan Daliangzi Hydro Project in Yunnan, China

摘要

Clean Development Mechanism(CDM) is one of the three flexible mechanisms under the framework of "Kyoto Protocol".In the CDM,the developed countries cooperate in project-level with developing countries by providing finance and technology.However,one challenge facing CDM projects today is developing countries'(such as China) lack of knowledge in the financing risks.This paper focus on the important finance factors in three phrases of the CDM hydro projects in Yunnan,China,and a case study conducted in the Maguan Daliangzi CDM hydro projects is presented.Then we discuss the risk assessment of CDM-specific finance in this project,Furthermore try to give suggestions and recommendations on the following CDM small hydro projects.
