The study of flame retardant materials is becoming one of hot researches in fire theories at present. Of course, the eye of all worlds is also focused on its environmental safety and its toxicity of gases released during heating more and more. In this paper, the environmental and human health risk of fire gases resealed from organ halogen flame-retardants during heating and combusting is evaluated by eight sorts of toxicity impaction indexes based on the principles of analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. Using the AHP method, the ascertaining weights of eight sorts of toxicity impaction indexes are 15.17, 10.21, 32.33, 5.50, 5.06, 3.88, 6.10, and 21.74 respectively. The value of consistency ratio (CR) is 0.0508 less than 0.1, which can illuminate that the judgment matrix has well-pleasing consistency and the ascertaining weights made by AHP method are acceptable. The results of the ascertaining weight obtained by AHP method also show that the human toxicity is the most severe factor impacted by the fire gases released from organ halogen flame-retardants during heating and combusting in the life cycle.
