With the open pit mine being continuous explored and slope becoming steep, slope stability problem becomes more important. Thus keeping slope stable has very significant meaning. Then Bang Moshan Iron Mine is taken for an example to assess slope stability. By application of finite difference code Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua(FLAC) and its arithmetic process, the analysis on rock slope stability of Bang Moshan lrion Mine was carried on based on the calculation of stress and strain, element displacement vectors, plastic state of slope, hydrolytic weakening properties and then the safety factors were carried out. The quantitative analysis of final slope stability for open pit mine was coneluded, and basic analysis for failure prediction and control on final pit slope was provided.
