Multifunctional handheld gamma radi radiation spectrometer ation spectrometers developed ins ATOMTEX SPE are presented in the paper. Their main application is measurementand processing of gamma radiation spectra, s searching, localization earching, and identification ofnatural, industrial, medical ra radionuclide sources and nuclear dionuclide materials, definition ofradionuclide activity without sampling selection, and the measurement of gammaradiation ambient dose rate, measurement of flux density of alpha, beta and neutronradiation with the possibility of site locati location. Spectrometers have an intuitive user inter- on. interface,can store up to 300 spectra and have face, the possibility to connect to a personalcomputer to work with it as a spectrometer and to tr transmit measured spectra andansmit further their processing with the help of developed software. The spectrometers’ set-upis as follows: a processing unit or computer and external detection units of gamma, alphaand beta radiation. Spectrometers can be modi modified for use, for example, in environmentfied monitoring, radioactive waste control, radi radioactive and nuclear materials traffickingoactive control, geological exploration, scientific re research, surreptitious scanning of rooms andsearch, territories, and search of nuclear terrorists.
