Reconnaissance Report on Damage to Buildings during the 2007 Sumatra, Indonesia Earthquakes Part Ⅱ: Seismic Performance of RC Frame Structure with URM Brick Walls

摘要

Post-earthquake investigation was carried out to obtain specific data on damaged buildings due to the 2007 Sumatra, Indonesia earthquakes. The investigation results are summarized as follows. 1)Two RC frame structures with URM infill walls totally collapsed and many of the same type of building suffered severe damage: shear and flexural failure of columns, collapse and/or damage of infill walls, and falling roof tiles and ceilings.
