Critical Role of Nuclear Data in Nuclear Astrophysics

We have successfully measured the photodisintegration cross section of ~4He (in addition, ~2H and ~3He) by constructing a new measurement system with a small systematic uncertainty. The present studies for the direct simultaneous measurements of these nuclei solved a longstanding problem of the discrepancy of the existing ~4He two-body photodisintegration cross sections.
