For analyzing the final closure hydraulics parameters of Linhuaigang flood control project in Huaihe river, the mathematics model is established in terms of St.Venant equations. Through hydraulics calculation, the parameters variation of the two conditions, fixed position sink ship adoption and no adoption of fixed position sink ship, is discussed. Using judge standard of closure difficulty, the effect of adopting fixed position sink ship technique to reduce closure difficulty is conclusive. According to the riprap grain size calculation theory for closure by vertical blockade, the paper evaluates the necessity of adopting single embankment and final closure with two directions programme, which provides the theories basis for closure programme delivery.
