The Public Products Supply System in Chinese Rural Areas Based on Implicit Demand using System Dynamics

The supply system of public products in rural areas has many problems, especially the imbalance of people's demand and supply. The present supply of public products does not match with people's demand; say nothing to their implicit demand. We define implicit demand as a kind of demand state that is hidden and unclear, which can not be satisfied by the existing products or service. Guided by system dynamics, this paper has simulated a system dynamics model of the public products supply system in rural areas based on implicit demand, in order to seek the system rules of developing implicit demand and matching the demand with the supply. We find that people will pursue implicit demand after their explicit demand is met. So our supply system should not only focus on people's explicit demand, but also their implicit demand. The ultimate objective is to provide references for the policy and improve the quality of the construction of new rural areas.
