A set of experiment apparatus simulating human heart and artery were set up, including an elastic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) model made of rubber. The healing influence on an AAA resulted from the stent-grafts with different diameters was investigated. The experimental results show that the pressure on AAA wall is reduced after the insertion of a stent-graft. The porosity of a stent-graft is not proportionally related to the pressure reduction. Additionally, the reduction of pressure is affected by the stent-graft diameter: the stent-graft in the diameter of being 10~15 percent larger than the artery diameter can reduce the wall pressure in the most effective way- The results are expected to have important application in the clinical.
